Adobe just made it a whole lot easier to work on Playboy: Wet & Wild 1 (1989)the go.

The company released a new app called Scan that turns physical documents into digital documents on Thursday. Scan is a simple tool to make it easier to bridge the gap between your physical and digital documents. With the app you can take a photo of documents or use an image from a camera roll.

Scan uses Adobe's Sensei, the company's machine learning platform. Using Sensei, Scan detects words, borders and more and makes the documents editable and searchable.

Here's how it works:

On Android, the app didn't work as well as advertised. I took a photo of this recipe for Banana Muffins, and the scan quality was fine. I then emailed it to myself and searched the document for the word :"flour," but it missed a few of the mentions in the document.

With several other scans of book pages and documents, I found similar results, some of which were not even searchable and none of which were editable.

Even though it doesn't seem to work well just yet, Scan is a great step forward and will hopefully the algorithm will improve over time as usage increases. You can try Scan yourself here.
